A Pilot Study on the use of a Low-Intensity, Non-Focused Ultrasound Device in Abdominal Circumference Reduction

Takeaway

Doctor I have for you a “Pilot Study on the use of a low intensity, non focused ultrasound device involved with abdominal circumference reduction”. This was done at the Mass General Hospital in MA by Dr. Doug Dover. The main focus of this study was to determine the safety and efficacy of a non invasive, low intensity ultrasound system on the treatment of abdominal fat reduction. Us knowing that our technology is able to shrink fat, we know that it causes lipids to be released from the fat cell and the risk of hypertriglyceridemia is possible. While we did this test on the reduction of fat layer and abdominal reduction, we also made sure that the 5 patients levels of triglycerides in the bloodstream did not go to a dangerous level, anything above 150. As a result of 10 treatments, twice a week for 5 weeks there were a few statistically significant results. With an astonishing average of 6.3cm circumference loss and an average of 4 lbs lost. We were also able to measure by ultrasound that there was an 18.5% reduction in the thickness of the subjects fat layer after treatment. Furthermore, there is a notable statistically insignificant change of fasting triglycerides in the blood. Which is extremely good to see.
